Solo exhibition by Saulė Matulevičiūtė “L’ornamento italiano. Fashion Print: Part III”

Spring – Summer 2023, Milan
June 2026, Rome

The artistic research, which began three years ago in Lombardy, Northern Italy, primarily focused on 18th–19th century French and Italian visual fashion and its connections to the visual arts. This time, the created fashion print takes on a more symbolic character, shifting the focus from the object itself to its content—in this case, the ornament. While changing in style and causality, the ornament recurs throughout historical interiors, the artist’s original works, and the fabrics of the featured collections.

October 3–31, 2026, both parts of the research will meet at the jewelry world school and gallery Vilnensis.
